About Cricket Association of the Blind Nepal

The Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal (CAB Nepal) is seeking a qualified and dedicated professional for the position of ASRH Officer to support its ongoing initiatives promoting inclusive health education and awareness among adolescents with and without visual impairments , with a special focus on sexual, reproductive and menstrual health and hygiene.

  1. Position: Adolescents’ Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) Officer
  • Reports to :
  • Duty Station: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits to project locations across Nepal.
  • Number of Positions: One (1)
  • Duration of contract: Minimum of three years on annual contract basis and subjected toextension on the  availability of funding.
  • Salary and Benefits: Nepal offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and organizational policy. Additional benefits include travel allowance and insurance coverage as per project guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate ASRH trainings and orientations at project locations for adolescents, teachers, and community stakeholders.
  • Design and develop training schedules, modules, and materials in coordination with consulting experts or firms.
  • Coordinate closely with local governments, schools with integrated blind and visually impaired students, and community networks to organize training programs.
  • Prepare and submit periodic, quarterly, and annual progress reports on ASRH activities.
  • Ensure gender, disability, and inclusion perspectives are well integrated into ASRH interventions.
  • Support in proposal and concept note development related to adolescent health and rights.
  • Prepare online contents, flyers or IEC materials related to ASRH.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the organization related to the project.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Public Health, Sociology, Nursing, or other relevant fields.
  • Proven experience working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) or Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH).
  • Strong understanding of disability inclusion will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports, proposals, and concept notes effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Internet, and E-mail).
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites.

 

 

  1. Position: Field staff/ Cricket Coach for blind and visually impaired youths and children.
  • Reports to :
  • Duty Station: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits to project areas
  • Number of Positions: One (1)
    Duration of contract: Minimum of three years on annual contract basis and subjected to the availability of funding.
  • Salary and Benefits: Nepal offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and organizational policy. Additional benefits include travel allowance and insurance coverage as per project guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement inclusive cricket coaching sessions for visually impaired children and youth.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, practice matches, and tournaments at local and regional levels.
  • Develop individualized skill-building plans based on players’ abilities and vision categories.
  • Identify and nurture potential players for competitions.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all participants.
  • Maintain attendance, progress, and performance records of all players.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and psychological support to visually impaired children.
  • Coordinate with schools, parents, and local authorities to promote participation in sports.
  • Support the organization in awareness campaigns, public events, and sports advocacy initiatives.
  • Submit periodic reports and recommendations to the Program Manager.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of +2 (Intermediate) level education in any discipline. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cricket coaching.
  • Coaching certification from a recognized body (National Sports Council, Cricket Association of  Nepal or Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal or equivalent).
  • Able to write reports and proposal.
  • Good command in English and Nepali computer skills including e-mail and internet browsing.
  • Update regular players performance and live scores in the digital platform.
  • Prior experience working with persons with disabilities or knowledge of adaptive coaching techniques will be a strong asset.
  • Good communication, coordination, and facilitation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
