Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal has been implementing the three years’ project titled “Promoting cricket amongst the visually impaired persons in Nepal” which is being implemented in 13 Districts of Nepal which started from mid-2022 and to end on Mid, 2025. The ultimate goal of this project is to promote the participation of youths and children with visual impairments in the game of cricket and beyond, change societal perception to blindness and disability sports.
Thus, CAB is hiring a consultant to conduct the final evaluation of this project to assess the impact of cricket in the holistic development of visually impaired boys and girls in cricket, technical skills developed in playing and status of disability sports in policy-making level.
Persons with the following criteria are highly encouraged to apply before 30th July, 2024.
-Master degree in sociology or disability studies.
– Have five years’ experience in carrying out evaluation of disability-related projects.
-Able to conduct field-based research and literature review.
-Able to work in a team and cooperate with CAB management.
– Good understanding of CAB, Nepal’s vision, mission and goals.
-Good command in English written and spoken as report has to be prepared in English.
-Should have sufficient knowledge on disability and adaptive sports.
Nature of task: Both field visit and desk review.
