Background
CAB Nepal is working to promote inclusive sports in Nepal by strengthening systems, capacity, and access for persons with disabilities. As part of this effort, the organization aims to develop structured and practical coaching resources for Blind Sports that not only support sport-specific training but also promote inclusive coaching practices applicable across different sports.
CAB Nepal invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified consultants or consulting firms to develop comprehensive Inclusive Coaching Guidelines for Blind Sports.
Objective
To develop a comprehensive inclusive coaching guideline for Blind Sports that integrates both practical coaching methodologies and broader inclusive coaching principles.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant/firm will be responsible for:
Developing a comprehensive inclusive coaching guideline for Blind Sports
Incorporating both:
- Practical coaching components (training methods, drills, adaptations, session planning)
- Inclusive coaching facilitation principles applicable across sports
Conducting consultations with key stakeholders including:
- Coaches and trainers
- Players with visual impairments
- Disability sports organizations
- Schools and relevant stakeholders
The guideline must be user-friendly, practical, and adaptable for coaches, trainers, and teachers
Terms of Reference (ToR)
The consultant/firm will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Inclusive Coaching Guideline for Blind Sports, combining practical coaching methodologies with inclusive facilitation principles. The assignment will involve desk review of existing materials, consultation with relevant stakeholders, and drafting of adaptable content suitable for coaches, trainers, and teachers. The consultant will ensure the guideline reflects international best practices and contextualize as per the scenario of Nepal, and will incorporate feedback from stakeholders to finalize the document.
Key Deliverables
- Draft Inclusive Coaching Guideline for Blind Sports
- Participate in Stakeholder consultation and validation process
- Final guideline incorporating feedback from validation.
Duration
30 days from the date of contract signing
Eligibility
- Experienced in sports development, curriculum development, or related fields
- Experienced in disability inclusion and disability sports (preferably visual impairment/Blind Sports)
- Strong understanding of inclusive coaching methodologies
- Excellent analytical and writing skills

Payment Terms
- Full payment will be done after completion of the work and submission of guideline.
- Taxes as per the rule of Nepal government will be deducted.
