15th General Assembly of CABNEPAL and 5th election convention was successfully accomplished at the premise of Nepal Association for the Welfare of the Blind. The GA passed the resolution to conduct Nepal –Bangladesh Bilateral blind cricket series here in Nepal and adopt land at Godavari Municipality ward no five to make an inclusive disability sports training center.
Similarly, the 15th General Assembly of CABNEPAL followed by 5th election convention once again unanimously choose Mr. Pawan Ghimire as the Chairman of CAB for the fourth times. During the 12 years’ tenure as the Chair, Ghimire has been able to form world’s first blind women cricket team, make male team participate in three consecutive world cups and make CAB proud by winning two blind women cricket series against Pakistan and U.K.
CAB also received special national sports award from Nepal Sports Journalists Forum and got nominated at two international award for it’s work in the field of women cricket. This blind cricket now extends to 14th Districts reaching to over six hundreds of visually impaired youths and children. CAB has it’s five sister Organizations at Kanchanpupr, Bardia, Rupendehi, Kaski and Kathmandu.
The election that was held for EC members and Women Committee unanimously elected following members with a mandate to work for next three years.
