Vacancy Announcement for the position of Field Staff

Duty Station: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits
Duration: till Oct 2028 (with possibility of extension; subject to annual renewal of the contract based on performance evaluation)
Reports to: Project Lead

Key Responsibilities
The Project Field Staff will support the implementation of inclusive cricket activities, particularly for visually impaired children and youth.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Conduct inclusive cricket coaching sessions for visually impaired participants
  • Organize regular training sessions, practice matches, and tournaments at local and regional levels
  • Support the development of individualized coaching plans based on players’ abilities and vision categories
  • Identify and nurture potential players for competitions
  • Coordinate trainings, events, and competitions
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all participants
  • Maintain attendance, progress, and performance records of players
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and psychosocial support to participants
  • Coordinate with schools, parents, and local stakeholders to promote participation
  • Support awareness campaigns, public events, and sports advocacy initiatives
  • Submit periodic reports and recommendations to Project Lead.
  • Contribute to the visibility and growth of the organization
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the organization
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum +2 completed
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Nepali and English
  • Basic knowledge and skills in cricket
  • Interest in disability inclusion and sports development
  • Ability to work in field settings and diverse communities
  • Basic documentation and reporting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities, especially visually impaired individuals
  • Experience in sports coaching or sports programs
  • Background in community mobilization or youth engagement
